Movies I watch all kinds of movies. I love really deep dramas. I am a huge Kevin Smith fan when it comes to comedy movies. Comic book movies that really go by the acyual comic book are the BEST.
TV Grey's Anatomy is my top with Supernatural coming in at second then there is Medium and Men in Trees.
Books I have been flying through the no brainer romance novels lately. Just something to occupy me while waiting at Dr. Appt. Currently though my night time read is Green Witchcraft: Folk Magic, Fairy Lore and Herb Craft by Ann Moura. I love all her books on Green Witchcraft

This witch knows how to make things grow. A Gardenwitch practices her magick and rituals mostly in a cultivated garden. She studies herbs, flowers, veggies and anything you would grow in a garden. As well she will study the cycle of the seasons, climate, weather, when to plant, when to harvest and such. She will have a well-tended yard and garden, and love to spend her free time weeding, planting, pruning and tending her lawn and garden. Her tools will mostly be garden tools and natural, practical tools she has crafted herself. Such as pruning shears, a shovel or digging stick, a garden trowel, a watering can, wooden wands and staffs, and besoms. She will have a shrine and/or altar set up in her garden, and possibly in her home as well. Her patron deities and Goddess will likely be deities of agriculture, the harvest, and nature.

    The Owls Visited Again

    Monday, June 30, 2008, 07:07 AM [General]

Last night I finally got this clear picture ofoneof the owls. There are still two but this one first landed on the air conditioning unit and I proceeded to try and close to him. When I took this picture I was pretty close. I talked to him and he moved his head like he was listening. He was around for quite awhile but got spooked by my neighbor setting off fireworks in his backyard. I really hate living in town.

Saturday Brady and Preston and I went to Delaware State Park to the bow range. Preston went around with a butterfly net catching moths for a spell and he also caught some toads which are now in his bedroom. He spent the rest of the day when we got home setting up a habitat for them. They seem happy but not as happy, I am sure, as being free to roam.

I practiced some shooting and then went on to take pictures of wild flowers and pick a few to find out what they were. I found bearberry, sweetbriar rose, prairie milkthistle(smells a lot like lilacs) and yellowdock. I still have a few more that I am trying to find names for.

I visited my favorite hawthorn tree and then it was to take pictures of the tiger lily, they are my favorite. It was a great day and we ended it with steaks on the grill and watching the owls.

On an end note....I am tired of the rain and could use a few sunny days in a row.

    The Weekend

    Friday, June 27, 2008, 03:52 PM [General]

Yeah! It is Friday and the weekend is here. I am so glad. Brady finally gets a Saturday off and we are planning to go to the bow range in Delaware. The blackberries should be ripe there too. So i figure while Brady and i are practicing are shoting the boys can pick berries. Then maybe we can walk around a bit after. It is really peaceful there. I have to connect with nature a lot or I feel suffocated.

Anyways that adorable little baby I have pictured here is how I spent yesterday. That is Miss Lilli, my niece. She is Brady's sister's daughter and she is 8 months old. I had a great day playing with her.

Right now I am just finishing up some last minute things for E-Bay and then when Brady gets home we are grillin steaks.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I don't know how the weather will be here but I am hoping father sky brings some sunshine my way.

    Bows and Owls

    Wednesday, June 25, 2008, 07:08 AM [General]

Last night Brady (my soulmate for those of you who don't know) got out the bow he bought me and I shot it for the first time. Last year all I did was shoot a crossbow and I am really good with it. I have to say I love this bow! I love shooting it and I think I have found a really good way to release some of those daily stressers. I slept like a baby last night.

After the bow practice I sat down on the deck just in time to see the pair of owls. They came flying in and landed and this time I got a little closer. You see I live on a very busy city street and I have this pair of screech owls visiting me very night. They are so neat. I wish I could hear them but the noise from out front overpowers any sound I might hear from them. It is a special treat to see them because my soul longs to be back in the country and I miss it sooooooo much. After voicing this I have got all kinds of wildlife in my backyard. These pictures of the owls are a little dark but if you look close you can see them.

I also took video of a spider in my window wrapping a june bug, but I won't bore you with that. Even though for a good hour I watched this spider and was just in awe by her.

I'll write more as my day progresses.

Greetings Emily. I'm a bit late in welcoming you to Covenspace. But here's a big ole WELCOME! I've been off line since Tuesday of last week; my granddaughter was born premature due to mom's health. I'm from Morrow Co. Ohio so it's so nice to see someone that's so close to my home to my home here at Covenspace. I do hope to get to know you more.
